Batik merupakan warisan budaya adiluhung, sebagai warisan kemanusiaan untuk budaya lisan dan non bendawi (Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity) oleh UNESCO. Kelompok Batik Lestari Desa Bugel Kecamatan Bagelen Kabupaten Purworejo perlu lebih kreatif dan inovatif dalam menciptakan karyanya, agar tidak kalah dalam persaingan pasar. Salah satu cara untuk memacu kreatifitas dan inovasi adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan membuat ecoprint. Metode yang diterapkan dalam pelatihan ini adalah metode ceramah, diskusi dan praktik. Dengan praktik membuat ecoprint teridentufikasi bahwa bahan warna ecoprint yang paling nyata adalah daun jati. Garadasi warna daun jati tergantung dari umur daun, daun muda semakin jelas warnanya. Dari hasil pelatihan ini akan dapat dikembangkan menjadi produk batik yang lebih inovatif dengan membuat kolaborasi antara batik dengan ecoprint di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Batik is a noble cultural heritage, as a humanitarian heritage for oral and non-material culture (Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity) by UNESCO. The Batik Lestari Group in Bugel Village, Bagelen District, Purworejo Regency needs to be more creative and innovative in creating their works, so as not to lose out in market competition. One way to spur creativity and innovation is to provide training on making ecoprints. The methods applied in this training are lecture, discussion and practice methods. With the practice of making ecoprints it was identified that the most obvious ecoprint color material is teak leaves. The color gradation of teak leaves depends on the age of the leaves, the lighter the color of the younger leaves. From the results of this training, it can be developed into more innovative batik products by creating collaborations between batik and ecoprint in the future.
